This is a first category lake (approx. 20 hectares ) that originated during the Middle Ages, like many of Limousin’s lakes. It was once owned by the Grandmont monks. It is used for fishing (no swimming) and has a “handipêche” station (adapted for visitors with disabilities)
“Le parleur” fishing trail that feeds the lake is also a 1st category trail. (http://larloiseenglish.jimdo.com/fishing-in-france-rules-and-laws/).
